Make-up dilemma. please help me!!!?

okay so whenver i go to a shop to get makeup i alwyas come back home with the wrong makeup. my mom doenst approve of me where makeup so i cant every single makeup that a typical teenage girl has. i am of east indian descent and i'm am of average skin tone. and i always get foundation much to light for my skin what to i do and which should i get which foundation brand is reliable. and it seems to me my frined sare rich so they get all the accurate makeup so they're faces are flawless!!! on mine you can still see hints of pimples/bumps and it doenst loo smooth soft or flawless!!!!!! and plus they're skins are soo pretty and soft you can't see any traces of hair on there legs or thighs but on mine you can it's no fair and they have no scars at all or dark patches i dont klnow whether they are using body makeup as well!
