Legal Advice (Before leaving a university campus I went around to collect bikes that were left behind)?
Before leaving a university campus I went around to collect bikes that were left behind. The campus had already been cleared out and several things were left behind, (futons, trash, etc). After putting 2 bikes in my car and riding back on 1 was arrested by the police for theft. I did not (cut) any bikes and acted with brevity and honesty when questioned by the police. I was surprised to be arrested as many people I know have collected bikes like this before that were left behind. My guess is to plead to contest in court and hope to have a post trial diversion or charges dropped. Any advice?
Anyone know what series this is?
It's a series aimed at younger readers about a girl who grew up with a close tie to indians. The person she'd been living with, her dad(?), died, and she had to go live in a more populated area with her aunt and uncle who were really rich. I think she was sent off to an all girl's boarding school that occasionally had joint events with an all boy's school. She became close to a rich boy from that other school, and her childhood friend was jealous (he'd promised to get her dad's cabin back someday and marry her). Think she had a tendency of getting in trouble and solving mysteries, but I don't really remember much else. >_< Does that ring a bell for anyone? I tried looking through my library checkout history, but I don't think it records as far back as when I checked out those books. Oh. Also, her aunt and uncle had a child of their own later on in the series that was sick and always crying, and the girl was jealous at no longer being the only child.
Why there is always the poor in rich countries is because officials are stealing peoples money? I think so?
That's really not it. What it truly causes that are two things: the rich people of the country usually get that way because they love money, so naturally they want to keep as much of it as possible. But to do that they have to support the power brokers so they will pass laws that protect their wealth. Here's the first reason there are poor in rich countries: the rich send the jobs overseas (which the politicians allow), so it increases competition for jobs in the home country. This in effect lowers wages. This phenomena has occurred in the US since the 1980's and continues today - growth in wages is stagnant when adjusted for inflation. The second reason involves taxes. Laws such as tax cuts for the super rich - like the current ones Bush installed in America. Bush enacted the tax cuts but chose to keep on spending and doubled the national debt, which the country is paying for now. Budgets are getting slashed and people are losing jobs and competition again increases. Additionally, many of the benefits of greater taxation serve as freebies or reduced costs to the general population (transportation, health care, parks services) so they have more money to spend elsewhere. Plus it also can create good paying jobs for these different services. The problem today is that the highest income tax rate in America is currently 35% (but the rich only paid 17% due to loopholes in 2009) while in 1950 it was 90%. America's heyday was built on this. There are more poor in the US than ever before. The phenomena above has eroded the middle class in the US to the point today that 5% of the people control 90% of the wealth. The other 10% is for the remaining 95% to fight over.
Are you a CRAZY CONSPIRACY THEORIST ?
GREAT vids. Haven't seen them all but once you have a broad knowledge of TRUTH many of them you have heard already. I just wish more people would be less ignorant and watch these. Our world is being taken right in front of us. And only a few even have an elementary knowledge of it. I would highly recommend looking into the works of David Icke as well.
Strong, independent, feminine names?
Sooo I'm writting a book and the main character is a killer, but no one else know this. She is very rich, popular, independent, and smart. I want a semi-unique name (such as simone, but i dont want to use that one.) that sounds like someone with all of those character traits. I'm open to any suggestions and i need last names to! thanks!(:
