For black americans, why is more acceptable for a black woman to walk around with a f*** up weave?

Because apparantly natural african american hair is not the standard of beauty even if it is well kept. I personally hate when women wear that crap on their heads; they look ridiculous to me. It's all about straight/wavy/loose curly hair. Unfortunately, some women will do anything to get it, even if that means wearing unflattering fake hair.
