Is hatred a diversion from seeing your true self?
At least in American culture we try to ignore the negative and extenuate the good in ourselves; to what degree? How many of us make fun of other people because they are different or because they are "losers"? If we stop hating other people are we forced to painfully look at ourselves in the full spectrum of both positive and negative? Maybe if we did we would be more understanding that some people aren't as perfect as others, in fact we could realize we all have flaws. Maybe we'd stop being so pretentious and be more open about our issues. Only then could we start solving problem without pride getting the way.
