Product for mixed hair?

i have Indian and black hair , its nappy, THICK and curly at the same time. When its wet it nice and shiny and curly . but when it dries or after 20 minutes it gets big , like an afro and you cant see the curls . can you recommended a product that will keep my hair down and keep the shine and curls for me . thanks
