Will it be hard to socialize and make friends if you don't have a high income in california?

Hi i am staying at my uncles house for three months,i am working as a waitress at the moment and don't make a lot,i have a rented car,i wanted to spend some time in newport beach,but i hear mostly wealthy people hang out there will it be hard to make friends and socialize if i am not rich like them,like do most of the rich socialize with other rich people,can i have your thoughts/advice thanks
