Do girls really go crazy for curly hair?

OK, I have really curly hair, and it's not like long and wavy, but like afro kind of thing. I have light brown hair and I just want to know if girls go crazy because it's not straight. (Not to be racist, but i'm white, so you don't see a lot of people like me with curly hair...)
